EUFOR member dies after an accident on Mount Vlasic

After receiving news about the accident EUFOR deployed their MEDEVAC helicopter unit to conduct a rescue operation.

“The helicopter approached the rough terrain, in bad weather conditions. Upon arrival at the scene of the accident the doctor could only conclude that the soldier had died,“ EUFOR said.

The other soldier, who was also hurt, was evacuated to a safe location. EUFOR expressed condolences to the family of the deceased, their friends and colleagues.
