The European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) said the situation in the north of Kosovo is disturbing and unacceptable and asked that a safe environment be provided for everyone.
The security situation in the north of Kosovo remains tense and this is a major concern, it said.
We are deeply concerned about the safety and well-being of civilians, police officers, journalists, members of EULEX and KFOR, and security on the ground and maintaining peace should be a priority, said EULEX.

The Mission called on everyone to act prudently, avoid violence and take action to de-escalate the tense situation.
Peace must be urgently restored in the interest of all communities living in the north of Kosovo, it stressed.
Noting that no EULEX members were wounded in the recent incidents in North Kosovo, the Mission condemned the violent actions of the protesters in Zvecan which resulted in the injury of several KFOR members, and wished all the injured a speedy recovery.
