FBiH Police establish first CBRN forensic team in the region

The program, entitled ''Crime Scene Forensics in a Specific CBRN Environment'', trained 15 FBiH Police Administration officers from various specialist fields and concluded with a demonstration of the skills acquired.

The training was delivered by a forensic instructor from the P-57 project and a CBRN instructor who provides training in accordance with NATO standards. Training for an additional reserve team is also planned for the coming period.

The program marks a significant step forward in developing domestic forensic capabilities to respond to CBRN incidents and lays the groundwork for participation in future EU CBRN projects. Upon completion of the training, all participants received certificates from the FBiH Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry’s Police Academy.

''With the completion of the training, the first CBRN forensic team in the region has been established within the FBiH Police Administration. The team is trained to conduct crime scene investigations and forensic examinations at locations involving CBRN incidents,'' the FBiH Ministry of the Interior said in a statement.
