FBiH tax revenue hits 1.35 Billion marks as business entities increase

The Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) reported that taxpayers contributed 1,358,946,474 Bosnian marks (approx. €694,814,643) in public revenues during the first two months of 2026.

Official data highlights a growth in the business landscape, with active entities rising to 134,954 by the end of February 2026, compared to 131,899 during the same period last year. As of February 28, 2026, the total number of employees based on residence stood at 542,080. A demographic breakdown of the workforce shows that 163,616 individuals (30.18%) are aged 35 or younger, while 378,464 (69.82%) are 36 or older. Gender distribution in the FBiH consists of 300,160 men (55.37%) and 241,920 women (44.63%).

Fiscal monitoring revealed that 110,428 fiscal devices were operational across the entity by late February. These devices recorded a total monthly turnover of 5,540,592,053.64 marks (approx. €2,832,866,331).

Geographically, the Centar Sarajevo Municipality maintains the highest density of fiscal equipment with 7,264 installed devices. However, the Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality recorded the highest financial volume, generating a total turnover of 446,929,576.66 marks (approx. €228,512,143) throughout February.
