Fire on Cvrsnica continues to spread as winds prevent aerial firefighting

According to the statement, members of the Jablanica Professional Fire Brigade and Volunteer Fire Department, as well as firefighters from Livno, took part in firefighting operations on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Razvale site, at an elevation of 1,890 metres.

The fire is located in terrain that is difficult for ground crews to access and continues to spread, while strong winds are also hampering firefighting efforts, the Operations Centre said, stressing that aerial support will continue to be needed to contain the fire.

Due to unfavourable weather conditions, Canadair firefighting aircraft and a helicopter were unable to operate on Tuesday.
