Firefighters continue battling smouldering stumps at Cvrsnica fire site
The fire site on Mount Cvrsnica, above the ski slope in the Jablanica area, remains active, with firefighters on the ground extinguishing smouldering stumps, the Operations Centre of the Civil Protection Administration of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (OCCZ HNK) said.
According to the OCCZ HNK report, firefighters were engaged from 9:20 a.m. to 8:30 pm extinguishing stumps at the fire site above the ski slope on Mount Čvrsnica. The fire site remains active.
In the Mostar area, firefighters intervened in Dreznica, where grass and low vegetation were burning, while in Kosor, waste, grass and low vegetation caught fire.
Several fires were reported in the Capljina area.
In the Jablanica area, in addition to the intervention on Cvrsnica, firefighters extinguished a waste fire in Lug.
In Capljina, firefighters inspected the fire site at the Ada municipal landfill.
