First monkeypox case confirmed in Bosnia

Majmunske boginje (Reuters)

The Sarajevo University Clinical Centre confirmed on Wednesday that the patient admitted to the institution a day prior was infected with the monkeypox virus.

This means Bosnia and Herzegovina has officially confirmed its first case of the disease.

The information has been confirmed to Faktor by the general director of the hospital, Dr. Sebija Izetbegovic.
