Flash floods in BiH: Official death toll 19, EU countries respond to request for assistance

The body was found in Buturovic Polje near Konjic, one of the most severely affected areas. Locals claim that another body was recovered, but there is no official confirmation for now.
Rescue efforts are ongoing while the situation remains critical in many areas that experienced more rainfall throughout the weekend.

On Saturday evening, the BiH Security Ministry requested international assistance through the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism. Rescue teams from neighbouring countries and the EU are arriving in BiH to help clear the rubble and search for the missing.
