A monument in the shape of the Flower of Srebrenica was unveiled on Friday night in front of the Islamic Center in Rijeka, Croatia.
A round table titled “From testimony to resolution” was held at the Islamic Center, and at the beginning, the chief imam of the Rijeka IC, Hidajet Hasanovic, greeted the attendees.
Those present were also greeted by the archbishop of Rijeka, Mato Uzinic, representative of the prefect of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Ermina Duraj, representative of the Croatian Parliament Speaker, Armin Hodzic, ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Croatia, Elma Kovacevic Bajtal and Mufti Academic Aziz Hasanovic.

He especially noted the struggle of the mothers of Srebrenica, who contributed the most to the adoption of the Resolution with their truth and testimony.
He thanked the Republic of Croatia for co-sponsoring the Resolution on Srebrenica adopted by the UN General Assembly and for supporting the commemoration of the anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica.
After the round table in front of the Islamic Center, a monument in the shape of the Srebrenica flower was ceremonially unveiled.
