According to Lagumdzija, the reason for the letter was the threat of an armed conflict that threatens the sovereignty, political independence of Ukraine, its unity and territorial integrity.

“Without a decisive end to the Ukrainian crisis, security risks for the entire European continent and new threats to world peace will inevitably increase. A vote for Ukraine today is a vote for each of us tomorrow,” Lagumdzija noted.

The letter states, among other things, that the signatories are sounding the alarm to prevent the development of an irreversible, destructive scenario.

“We must learn from the bitter experiences of the 20th century and devote all our efforts to reversing the march towards conflict and supporting international multilateralism based on rules strengthening human rights and national sovereignty as well as territorial integrity, as stated in the UN Charter,” the letter states.
