Food donations are officially exempt from VAT payments because the Rulebook on the Implementation of the VAT Law was amended, which started the implementation of the adopted Law.

In this way, food will more easily reach the most vulnerable category of the population that needs it the most.

Sasa Magazinoviv, an MP in the BiH House of Representatives and one of the proponents of this Law pointed out that after the unanimous adoption of the Law on Monday, the Rulebook specifying the application of the law was also adopted.

He said he would continue to monitor the situation on the ground and thanked for the support to those who donate and those who help people on the ground.

“Thanks once again to the Mozaik Foundation for the initiative and to everyone who contributed in any way and will continue to contribute so that food is not wasted but donated to those in need,” Magazinovic wrote.
