Foreign Affairs Ministry coordinating evacuation of 23 Bosnian nationals from Gaza

“23 citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and their families have reached out to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, more precisely the Embassy of BiH in Cairo, for evacuation. All persons demanding the evacuation are currently on the Gaza territory. Ambassadors and the staff of embassies in Cairo and Tel Aviv are maintaining the contact with competent institutions of Egypt and Israel, and are regularly reporting to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH in Sarajevo on every change in the field,” said the ministry's press release on Monday.

Both the ministry and embassies delivered the lists of Bosnian nationals and their families to competent authorities in Egypt and Israel, as well as the International Organisation for Migrations (IOM) and the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, to secure the evacuation.

Foreign Affairs Ministry also formed a crisis task force to coordinate all activities regarding the evacuation of Bosnian citizens and to closely follow further developments in the Middle East.
