The former head of Bosnia’s top judicial institution who resigned from the post in December 2020, Milan Tegeltija, will now be an advisor to the Chairman of Bosnia’s tripartite Presidency, Milorad Dodik.
Dodik, who is the member of the Presidency from Bosnia's Serb-majority Republika Srpska (RS) entity, confirmed this on Friday, explaining that former High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) President will be dealing with legal issues.

The HJPC is the institution that appoints and disciplines judicial officials in Bosnia.
Tegeltija resigned from the institution following media allegations that he was involved in corruption, which he denies, as well as criticism of the state of the judiciary and calls for his resignation from international community representatives in the country.
“He will deal with issues related to the judiciary at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I think that man has the awareness and knowledge for it and I am convinced that he was suddenly expelled from the HJPC for speculative reasons,” Dodik said.
Dodik said that Tegeltija will be informing him about the developments in the judiciary, stating that “a ridiculous setting in the judiciary is being prepared.”
