Four children were killed in a fire in an apartment in the Serbian city of Novi Pazar on Sunday, according to the Serbian news agency Tanjug.
According to a police report, the children, who were discovered by rescuers, had probably died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Their parents were injured in the fire.
An investigation is underway to determine what caused the fire and the children's death, the Serbian Ministry of the Interior said.
