Revenue from indirect taxes in the first nine months of this year amounted to 8 billion and 493 million Bosnian marks (€4.34 billion), reflecting an increase of 629 million marks (€321 million) or 8 percent compared to the same period in 2023, when the total was 7 billion and 864 million marks (€4.02 billion), announced the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Between January and September this year, the ITA returned 1 billion and 521 million marks (€777 million) to the economy.
The net revenue collected and distributed to beneficiaries—namely the state, entities, and the Brčko District—during the nine-month period amounted to 6 billion and 972 million marks (€3.57 billion), marking an increase of 721 million marks (€368 million) compared to the revenue distributed from the Single Account to beneficiaries during the same period in 2023.
In September, 989 million marks (€504 million) were collected from indirect taxes, which is 57 million marks (€29 million) more than in September last year.
From January to September, 762 million marks (€390 million) were allocated for financing state institutions. The remaining revenue from indirect taxes was distributed to the entities and the Brčko District. The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received 3 billion and 815 million marks (€1.95 billion) from the Single Account, Republika Srpska received 2 billion and 137 million marks (€1.09 billion), and the Brčko District received 214 million marks (€109 million).
From the special toll for the construction of motorways and the reconstruction of other roads (0.25 marks), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional 179.6 million marks (€91.7 million), Republika Srpska received 118.7 million marks (€60.6 million), and the Brčko District received 6 million marks (€3.06 million).
