So far 28 households from the municipality of Gacko and two from Bileca have reported damages following the Thursday morning earthquake in Montenegro, near the border with Bosnia, the municipal Civil Protection organizations said on Friday.
The Gacko Civil Protection Service said that 28 residents of that municipality have so far reported minor damage to residential buildings in the city and surrounding villages.
“There are mostly cracks on the walls and ceilings, and the reports are still incoming,” the Service said.
The Bileca Service said that damage was reported to two older rural houses.
“These are houses in the villages of Vranjska and Prijevor, which were also damaged in an earlier earthquake,” they added.
School classes resumed on Friday, in Bileca, after they were interrupted on Thursday due to a series of earthquakes that were strongly felt in that municipality, where the ground still occasionally shakes.
The earthquake was recorded in Montenegro, reaching 5.4 on the Richter scale.
