Al Jazeera English journalist Youmna El Sayed congratulated the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, saying that in these difficult circumstances for Gaza, nobody can understand the pain and struggle of the Palestinians like the people of BiH can, reports Anadolu Agency.

El Sayed's video message was shown to the audience at a ceremonial event in the Museum of the 2nd AVNOJ session in Jajce.

El Sayed, who reports daily from the war-torn Gaza, conveying to the world the events in the blockaded Palestinian enclave, said that she was very pleased to be a part of the big day for BiH, Statehood Day.

“In such difficult circumstances that we are going through today in the Gaza Strip, I would like to say that no nation can feel our pain and our struggle the way the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina can. Because you have lived and endured the same kind of suffering and struggle. Our generations have read and learned about your suffering that has lasted for years, and I hope with all my heart that nations will learn for generations about the suffering of the Palestinian people which lasts many years. Especially here in the Gaza Strip, which has been under a complete Israeli blockade for seventy years,” said El Sayed.

“Today I want to say that the world can pretend not to see, but we see different nations taking to the streets and protesting calling for an end to the genocide against the Palestinian people, showing their solidarity. I have to say – all of it counts. Raise your voice because we need it until this injustice ends. Keep shouting our names and show the world what is really going on,” she said.
