Bosnian Defence Minister Zukan Helez welcomed on Monday German Military Attache Franz-Josef Nolte, who informed him that Germany earmarked 6.5 million euro in its 2024 budget for the infrastructural projects within the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to a press release by the Defence Ministry, Nolte said that 1.5 million euro of the total amount will be spent for the procurement of the uniforms for the Bosnian soldiers.

“Also, in addition to these funds, there is a possibility of Germany adding up another million euro for the infrastructural projects at the Pazaric barracks. All funds are aimed at the improvement of the living and work conditions for the members of the Armed Forces of BiH at our locations,” the press release said.

The German envoy thanked minister Helez for the hospitality during the visit of German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius to BiH and invited him for the return visit.

“The continuous support that the Federal Republic of Germany provides to our country made Bosnia and Herzegovina and Germany two truly friendly countries,” said Helez.
