Germany has removed Bosnia and Herzegovina from its list of high-risk countries, said the latest report by the Robert Koch Institute, the federal agency for disease control and prevention.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is now in the category of the countries that are not considered risky for travel, due to the improved situation with coronavirus pandemic.
As of Friday, the list also includes Croatia, with the exception of its Medjimurje and Varazdin counties, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia, as well as other countries in the world such as the USA and Cyprus.

The decision comes as a result of a joint analysis by the Health Ministry, Foreign Affairs Ministry and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Germany, the Robert Koch Institute said.

New regulations come into effect as of June 13. The passengers entering Germany by plane must show a negative PCR test result, proof of vaccination or proof that they recovered from COVID-19 regardless of whether they spent time in the risk area.

The new decision refers to German citizens only and it is not known any changes for the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina willing to travel to Germany as tourists will be made any time soon.

Slovenian authorities removed BiH from the list of high-risk countries on Thursday.
