HDZ BiH leader Dragan Covic said that this decision has a wider political meaning, stressing that it is not only about choosing a candidate, but about opening a new phase of political activity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a phase that is ready to bring a new perspective and ensure complete equality.
"Darijana Filipovic built her political path gradually and responsibly, and through more than a decade of work, she went through all levels of political activity, from working in HDZ BIH Youth to representing the Croat people in the highest institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. During that time, she showed seriousness, knowledge and the ability to understand political processes and people. I am convinced that it is Darijana Filipovic as a person who can bring a step forward that will ensure security, reliability and prosperity for her people and homeland," he said.
After accepting the nomination, Filipovic emphasized that she sees this decision first of all as a great honor and responsibility towards the Croat people, towards the party and the colleagues who elected her.
"Bosnia and Herzegovina needs stability. I am convinced that the future in this country can be built with work, knowledge and mutual respect. The strides in the fight for the equality of the Croat people in recent years have shown how necessary expertise and stability are and that they only bring results. I see this candidacy as an opportunity to achieve the set goals together and open a new political chapter in BiH," she said.
