Due to the deteriorating winter conditions, freight traffic has been completely shut down on the Ripacki klanac section (Bihac-Bosanski Petrovac), where passenger vehicles are also struggling to pass.

Drivers of trucks with trailers and articulated vehicles are mandated to use full winter equipment across several key mountain passes due to the snow:

  • Rogoj (Sarajevo-Foca)
  • Romanija (Sarajevo-Rogatica)
  • Komar (Donji Vakuf-Travnik)
  • Karaula (Olovo-Kladanj)

Traffic is also severely hampered on numerous other routes, including: Banjaluka-Manjaca-Cađavica, Mrkonjic Grad-Milinista, Tisovac-Knezevo-Ugar, Kotor Varos-Knezevo, and Sipovo-Novo Selo. Challenging conditions are reported across the passes of Laniste, Ostrelj, Rostovo (Bugojno-Novi Travnik), Makljen (Prozor-Gornji Vakuf), Mliniste (Glamoc-Podbrdo), Nisici (Srednje-Olovo), and the aforementioned Karaula (Olovo-Kladanj).

On the A-1 motorway, speed limits have been reduced due to the current winter weather conditions.

Furthermore, due to challenging winter driving conditions in Croatia, a ban on traffic for trucks with trailers and articulated vehicles is in effect at the Izacic border crossing.

According to BIHAMK Information Center, delays for passenger vehicles at border crossings are currently not exceeding 30 minutes.
