A helicopter of the Helicopter Service of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska entity started extinguishing the fire in the area of the village of Orah in Bileca, in the south-east of the country, said deputy commander of the Trebinje Fire Brigade, Nedjo Cuk, on Tuesday.
The commander of the Bileca Fire Brigade, Radomir Radmilovic, said that the situation on the ground was unpredictable, the fire was burning on both sides of the Bileca-Trebinje highway, towards the villages of Vrbno and Zudojevici, and currently did not threaten the property of the locals.

“The Dobricevo monastery in the village of Orah was defended from the fire. In addition to the firefighters from Bileca, there are also firefighters from Trebinje, locals, and the police,” said Radmilovic.
According to N1’s reporter Snezana Mitrovic, help is coming from their colleagues from elsewhere.

Residents are ready to put out the flames in the villages and around the Dobricevo monastery, but there is a lack of equipment. They say there aren't enough backpacks either. The plants are gone, everything is black in the area. Traffic is has slowed down, Mitrovic reported.
