Bosnian photographer Boris Trograncic used the unusually warm October weather and visited the Kozica waterfalls near Fojnica.
The warm southern wind which has been blowing for several days, has added a few notes to the color of the forest decorations, Trograncic told N1. This area is good to visit outside the tourist season when it is not too crowded and there is no noise from quad bikes and motorbikes.
The Kozica River is crystal clear, and its waterfalls consist of three smaller and two larger waterfalls, from which the water falls about 20 meters. Above the falls, there is a small plateau, where visitors can rest, and the entire location is well-routed. In the summer months, it is an ideal spot for a family weekend vacation in nature.
Additionally, if one heads here a little later in the afternoon, it’s possible that they will meet some wild animals on the way to the top.
Although the road is fairly paved from the direction of Fojnica all the way to the village of Korita, there is definitely a long macadam road to the village of Dragacici. The path to the foot of the falls is not maintained and therefore this place is mostly deserted and lonely.
Fojnica is an extremely beautiful town and its surroundings offer a handful of natural attractions. The waterfalls on Kozica are just one of them.
