Ibrahim Hadzibajric sentenced to prison and ban from office

In addition, Hadzibajric has been banned from holding the position of municipal mayor for four years following the finalization of the verdict.

The charges against Hadzibajric stemmed from allegations that, between March 2020 and March 2021, he unlawfully dismissed six civil servants and administrative employees working at the Stari Grad Municipality.

Following this second-instance ruling, Hadzibajric has no further right to appeal.

Earlier this year, in April, the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo confirmed an indictment against Hadzibajric on charges of organized crime. These include abuse of office, accepting bribes, money laundering, falsifying official documents, obstructing evidence, and falsely reporting assets and income.
