IDDEEA launches public administration digitalisation project with Czech support

A meeting in Sarajevo between IDDEEA Director's Adviser Ilija Trninic and representatives of ASPIRO, Miroslav Kucera and Damir Kasum, marked the beginning of the project.

"Bosnia and Herzegovina is going through a key phase of digital transformation, and exchanging experiences with countries that have successfully gone through this process is extremely valuable to us. Cooperation with ASPIRO and drawing on Czech experience will help us accelerate the introduction of modern digital tools into practice," Trninic said.

ASPIRO representatives presented the project schedule and key steps planned for the coming months.

"The Czech Republic has valuable experience in public administration digitalisation that we can share with our partners in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Aid for Trade programme enables us to provide IDDEEA not only with theoretical knowledge, but above all with practical tools for successfully managing the digital transition, which will benefit both citizens and domestic companies," Kucera said.

The project, funded by the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade under the Aid for Trade programme, represents an important part of the Czech Republic's official development cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The main objective of the project is to provide strategic and expert support to IDDEEA in the digitalisation of public administration and the private sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The cooperation will be based on the transfer of proven Czech know-how and best practices in implementing modern digital services, electronic identification and improving the efficiency of communication between the state, citizens and the business community.
