'Immediate Response 25' exercise begins at Manjaca

The exercise officially began with the transfer of operational authority over the declared AF BiH commands and units from Commander of the Operational Command, Major General Mirzet Lubenovic, to the Exercise Director, Brigadier General Dr Jasmin Cajic.

''Immediate Response 25'', one of the most significant training events under the 2025 Annual Training Plan, represents the annual evaluation of the SEL-2 level for the Light Infantry Battalion Group, the Military Police Platoon, and the EOD Platoon.

In his address to participants, Exercise Director Brigadier General Jasmin Cajic emphasised the importance of this activity as a key step in preparation for NATO re-evaluation (reNEL 2) scheduled for October 2026. He also noted that the exercise directly contributes to fulfilling Bosnia and Herzegovina’s international obligations and strengthens the credibility of the AF BiH within the global system of collective security.

The opening ceremony was attended by Major General Mirzet Lubenovic, Brigadier General Jasmin Cajic, Major General Zdravko Rezo, Brigadier General Nebojsa Bosnjak, Brigadier General Slaven Blavicki, Brigadier Elvir Faljic, representatives of the NATO Headquarters Sarajevo, as well as members of the LIBG, MPPlt, EODPlt, and the exercise directorate.
