The increase in the number of daily confirmed coronavirus cases in Bosnia continues, as healthcare authorities reported 757 new infections in the country on Thursday while 11 COVID-19 patients passed away within the previous 24 hours.

Of the 2,366 people tested in Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity since Wednesday, 542 were positive for the virus and nine died due to COVID-19.

In Bosnia’s other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), 816 people were tested for the virus and 202 were positive, while two died due to the disease.
Bosnia’s Brcko District registered another 13 infections.

More than 130,000 people tested positive for the virus in Bosnia since the beginning of the pandemic.

Bosnia’s COVID-19 death toll has surpassed 5,000.
