Indictment filed against two persons in the case involving evidence from encrypted SKY applications

The defendants are accused of planning, preparing and carrying out the unauthorized international trafficking of narcotics, as well as the unauthorized trafficking of weapons and military equipment, between 2019 and 2022 in Bosnia and Herzegovina and EU countries. Both allegedly used the encrypted SKY ECC communications platform, together with several other individuals known to them.

The indictment covers the illegal trafficking of cocaine and hashish, which were sold on the illegal drug market for €31,000-€38,000 per kilogram of cocaine and €2,400-€3,500 per kilogram of hashish.

The defendants are also accused of illegally trafficking weapons, including sniper rifles, automatic rifles and pistols, as well as planning to inflict serious bodily injuries on a public figure residing outside Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They are further charged with money laundering, allegedly using proceeds from illegal activities to purchase several properties, vehicles and other movable assets, which they registered in their own names or in the names of people close to them. The prosecution will seek the forfeiture of the illegally acquired assets during the proceedings.

The defendants are charged with organized crime under Article 250, unauthorized trafficking in narcotic drugs under Article 195, unauthorized trafficking in weapons and military equipment and dual-use products under Article 193, and money laundering under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of BiH, as well as aggravated bodily injury under Article 172 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of BiH, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH said.
