Infectious diseases and pulmonary wards of “Dr Safet Mujic” hospital in South Bosnian city of Mostar are at capacity and the exhausted staff is forces to accommodate patients in hallways, dr Nazif Derviskadic, the head of the Infectious diseases ward, confirmed for N1 on Wednesday.

“We’re at capacity. We’re only taking Covid patients at the pulmonary ward as well as those suspicious and high risk until we get the confirmation,” he said.

These two wards have 22 beds in total plus several beds for the walking patients, who can come and go to and from the hospital.

Derviskadic added that they have enough means to work with and the number of staff will not be increased.
