Investigative journalist Avdo Avdic attacked in Sarajevo

Witnesses reported that after striking Avdic, the assailant taunted him with the words: “Do you want more?” The attack occurred shortly after Avdic left a café in Grbavica and was on his way home.

The portal Istraga.ba stated that the incident followed their recent publications about Sanin Musa, who has stirred tensions in Bosnia and Herzegovina in recent days with his controversial announcement that he would go to the town of Siroki Brijeg accompanied by “1,000 Muslims.”

N1 reached out to Avdic, who confirmed that he is currently at a police station giving an official statement.

Police has meanwhile detained the alleged attacker.
