
Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency member Zeljko Komsic attended a reception in Podgorica marking the 20th anniversary of the restoration of Montenegro's independence, at the invitation of Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajic.

The reception was attended by Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic, representatives of Montenegro's state leadership, European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, as well as the United Kingdom's Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Karen Pierce.
During meetings with officials and guests at the reception, discussions focused on the current situation in the Western Balkans, the European perspective of countries in the region, as well as global political and economic challenges.
Komsic congratulated President Milatovic, Prime Minister Spajic, and the citizens of Montenegro on May 21, Montenegro’s Independence Day, emphasizing that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro are connected not only by a shared border, but also by close ties between people, family connections, a shared living space, and mutual understanding built long before politics and institutions.
