Zlatko Lagumdzija, Head of the Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations, participated in a high-level UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) meeting in Riyadh.
Lagumdzija continued his diplomatic activities related to the resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica and, in this regard, held a series of meetings with high officials.
He met with Prince Turki Al Faisal, President of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, Waleed Elkhereiji, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Miguel Angel Moratinos, High Representative for the UN Alliance of Civilizations and Under-Secretary-General of the UN, and Amr Moussa, former Secretary-General of the Arab League and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt.
As Lagumdzija wrote on his social media account, they discussed concrete support for the UN resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica.
“Back to New York tomorrow. Four more days of work,” Lagumdzija wrote, alluding to the four days until the UN General Assembly session where the resolution on remembering the genocide against Bosniaks in Srebrenica will be discussed.
