Doctor Bakir Nakas shared the news of his death on his official Facebook profile.

"He was one of the first, young doctors we admitted to the then State Hospital ‘Sarajevo’, where he started working as a young, newly graduated doctor and he was of great use to us. He was interested in internal medicine, so together with his colleagues, the head of the department, Dr. Jaroslav Sudji, Dr. Ibrahim Gavrankapetanovic, Dr. Hajro Basic and Dr. Dragan Stevanovic, he tried to gather as much knowledge as possible in this field," Nakas said.

He stated that Ifet Filipovic was a hard-working doctor who was interested in education and wanted to help his patients.

"I often remember the arrival of his father, the late academic Dr. Muhamed Filipovic, who was keenly interested in the progress of his son Ifet. May the soil of Bosnia be blessed and light on you, as well as on your teachers Dr. Jaroslav Sudji, Dr. Hajro Basic and Dr. Ibrahim Gavrankapetanovic, who are also not among the living, today," said Nakas.
