The Head of the Hadzici Municipality, Hamdo Ejubovic, and the head of the Hadzici and Trnovo Police Department, Mevludin Halilovic, visited the site of the last night's explosions in the Sarajevo neighbourhood of Binjezevo. They spoke to the Chief Inspector who is leading the investigation into this unfortunate case. Preliminary data indicate that the cause of the explosion was a malfunction in the internal gas installations.
Ejubović also had a telephone conversation with the mother of the victim, Aida Delija.
“This tragedy shook us all. Mirza's parents, and his mother, are having the hardest time right now. Mirza was also our child, he did an internship in the Municipality. A nice and well-mannered young man. We offered all kinds of help to the Delija family. We will take over the material costs. We are following the condition of Hamdo, the father, whose doctors are fighting for his life. We will react according to our capabilities if necessary. We are here for them, to share the pain as much as possible,” said Ejubovic.
At around 11:20 pm on Monday, there was an explosion in Binjezevo, during which one person was killed. A young man born in 1996.
Two people were also injured in the explosion, one suffered serious life-threatening injuries (a man born in 1967), while the other sustained minor injuries (a woman born in 1966).
