Magazinovic: Bosnia's Council of Ministers approves legalisation of cannabis for medical use

"I keep thinking back to the first conference we organised in Parliament, where we heard testimonies from people whose lives were improved by cannabis oil. I still remember the tears of those listening to their appeals for the legalization of a medicine. I think of all the meetings, media appearances, lobbying, pleas, arguments, 'warnings', and messages from people in need. It was all worth it," he said.

He stressed that he is overjoyed today.

"Many thanks to everyone who has taken part over all these years in a struggle that is not yet over. The most important step has been taken, but the devil is in the details. We continue, but now it is much easier. Special thanks to Irfan Ribic, who motivated me to get involved in the fight to legalise cannabis for medical purposes. Thanks also to Minister Dubravka Bosnjak, who found a way to overcome the obstructions and propose the decision," Magazinovic said.
