Police officers of the Federation entity Police Administration (FUP) have been conducting an extensive operation, code-named "Koridor," since the early hours of February 18, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. The operation aims to document corruption-related criminal offences.

The crimes under investigation include "Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Offences," in connection with "Abuse of Position or Authority," "Concluding a Detrimental Contract," and "Money Laundering."

"As part of these activities, in accordance with the orders of the Cantonal Court in Mostar, searches were carried out on the movable and immovable property of the suspects in Sarajevo Canton, Tuzla Canton, Central Bosnia Canton, and Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. The operation was conducted with the participation and assistance of the respective cantonal Ministries of Internal Affairs," the FUP stated.

During the operation, 15 individuals were arrested and are currently undergoing criminal processing and interrogation as suspects at the FUP headquarters. Additionally, searches were carried out at the addresses of four legal entities based in Sarajevo Canton.

Authorities have confirmed that three suspects are currently outside Bosnia and Herzegovina, and operational search efforts are underway to locate them.

The case was initially formed following a report filed in 2022 by an individual from abroad, alleging irregularities in the construction process of the Vc Corridor highway, specifically the Vranduk – Ponirak subsection. Investigators suspect that the construction of this subsection caused financial damages to PE Motorways FBiH amounting to approximately €19.5 million.

The arrested individuals will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton after criminal processing, following a decision by the acting prosecutor. A report on the committed criminal offence will accompany their transfer.

Among those arrested are former directors of Motorways FBiH, Elmedin Voloder and Adnan Terzic.
