An explosive device was detonated by an unidentified individual on Friday morning in the residential complex in Gornje Rosulje, Visoko. Police responded swiftly and detained suspect A.E. (born 1994) from Visoko, who was later taken into custody for questioning. The explosion caused damage to windows, the facade of a building, and seven parked vehicles, though no injuries were reported.
The on-duty prosecutor ordered an on-site investigation, which confirmed the extent of property damage. Further searches, conducted by Visoko police at A.E.'s residence, uncovered three additional explosive devices, 91 rifle bullets of unknown calibre, and two ammunition magazines containing 30 rounds. These items were confiscated for forensic analysis.
The suspect has been charged with “Causing Public Endangerment” and “Unauthorized Possession of Weapons or Explosives” under the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the case has been forwarded to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Zenica-Doboj Canton for further proceedings.
The Ministry of Interior of Zenica-Doboj Canton reported that police efforts successfully resolved the incident in a short time, reinforcing public safety and demonstrating effective operational conduct.
