Haris Pendic was put in one-month detention under suspicion of threatening Bosnia's Archbishop Cardinal Vinko Puljic in the period from January to November last year.

Pendic is suspected of addressing serious threats on three occasions to the cardinal, as well as a journalist of the Croat Media Service and three other individuals.

Mostar Municipal Court issued the detention warrant at a proposal of the Prosecutor's Office of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.

The court said the suspect was put in detention due to fears he might commit the crime but did not specify what was the man threatening with.
