Christmas Eve was celebrated in the church of St. Basil of Ostrog at Veljine in Istocna Ilidza with an evening service in the presence of numerous believers from Istocna Ilidza, Istocno Novi Sarajevo and Sarajevo.
The priests also wished the faithful a happy upcoming most joyous Christian holiday, Christmas, with a joyful greeting Peace of God - Christ is born!
After the service, the Yule log was traditionally placed in the temple gate, where the gathered were served mulled wine.
The juice was served to the youngest, which made them especially happy.
