A large number of believers gathered to attend the liturgy in peace and prayer, sending messages of peace and togetherness. Orthodox believers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and throughout the world are celebrating Easter on Sunday, one of the greatest and most joyful Christian holidays, symbolizing the victory of life over death, good over evil, and light over darkness. Easter is observed as the feast of Christ’s resurrection and is a symbol of the victory of life, hope, and renewal.

Easter is celebrated for three days: Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday. According to belief, Jesus Christ rose on the third day after death. Therefore, believers greet each other with the words”Christ is risen – Indeed He is risen”.

Following the liturgy, believers traditionally gather in a family setting, with a rich feast and the essential coloured eggs, further emphasizing the spirit of togetherness and the joy of this great holiday.
