The MGM Kakanj company will submit an offer for the procurement of vaccines to the ad hoc team of Bosnia's Federation (FBiH) entity Government on Tuesday, company general manager Mensur Musija told N1 adding that the vaccine they plan to procure is the Russian Sputnik V, and they managed to shorten the supply chain.

“The deadlines to finish the paperwork were too short. We weighed whether we should enter the procurement process or not, and we concluded that we couldn't give up. More companies have applied now. We would like to get the vaccines as soon as possible to stop the pandemic,” Musija said.

He pointed out that they had shortened the vaccine supply chain and that there was now only one company between them and the manufacturer. Negotiations on deadlines for the delivery of vaccines in the FBiH are ongoing.

“It is very difficult to determine the day. What if we miss a day? We refused the first deadline because we couldn't respect those three days. Therefore, we changed the supply chain. We hope that these negotiations will allow someone to purchase the vaccines. I am absolutely not interested in earnings, the only goal is to get the vaccine. I am of the opinion that our offer is objective and realistic and that we can realize it,” said Musija.

The FBiH government has given a deadline to companies that have expressed interest in participating in the procurement of vaccines to submit a bid Tuesday by 4 p.m. An online meeting with representatives of companies will be held Tuesday, after which the ad hoc body of the FBiH Government will make the final decision on which company will procure the vaccines.
