A lifeless body of a migrant was found on Tuesday at the Lipa camp in Bosnia's northwest, a police official told N1.
The migrant's identity has not been unveiled.
According to the police commissioner at the regional Una-Sana Canton Interior Ministry, Mujo Korcic, the police officers who were deployed to the site had to use weapons and fire warning shots after a group of migrants headed towards them after they arrived at the site of the accident.
Two police officers were injured, Korcic told N1.
The investigation into the case is ongoing and is carried out by a competent prosecutor in cooperation with the police.
The Lipa camp is currently the largest migrant shelter in this part of the country which borders Croatia. Hundreds of migrants have been relocated over the past months from improvised and temporary accommodation sites across the canton to the Lipa camp, which is situated some 30 kilometres outside Bihac, the canton's administrative centre.
