More than 250 Italian soldiers arrive for EUFOR military excercise in Bosnia

“We are here in Croatia, at the harbour in Ploce, to greet our colleagues from the Italian battalion of military personnel, who have today arrived by sea, with the Italian navy, on the Sun Marco to participate in the Exercise EUFOR Quick Response 2022. Over 250 troops have arrived today from Italy with military vehicles and equipment. A ship carrying a further cohort of Italian soldiers and equipment is due to arrive shortly,” said EUFOR spokeswoman, Catherine Smyth-Barrett.
She explained that, in the coming days, 20 EUFOR nations will participate in the exercise which will take place in different urban and rural locations across the country between October 17 and November 22.

“As in previous years, the additional troops will temporarily augment EUFOR numbers and will participate in tactical exercises and patrolling,” she added.
