The 26th International Economic Fair in Mostar officially opened on Tuesday, marking one of the most significant business events in the region. The fair, which runs until Saturday, April 12, gathers around 800 exhibitors from 30 countries, with all available exhibition spaces fully booked.

This year's partner country is Italy, with its exhibitors showcasing agricultural and food products, industrial equipment, and cultural heritage in a shared space of 400 square meters.

During the opening remarks, Fair Director Dalfina Bosnjak emphasized the importance of the event for the entire region. She highlighted the presence of numerous dignitaries and visitors as proof of the fair’s significance “for the common good of our people and for the benefit of all participants in this economic and entrepreneurial project.”

Bosnjak expressed her satisfaction that Italy is this year's partner country, underscoring its role as one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s key economic partners, with trade amounting to nearly 5 billion Bosnian marks (approximately €2.55 billion). She noted that Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of Italy's largest importers and that the fair presents an opportunity to strengthen these ties further.

The fair's program includes a series of thematic conferences, expert meetings, and roundtables over the coming days.

“We live in times of major economic crises and challenges, but let that not discourage us. Positive stories like the Mostar Fair have been fostering connections among people for more than a quarter of a century,” Bosnjak stated.

Serving as a platform for business networking, knowledge exchange, investment promotion, and partnership building, the fair plays a vital role in economic development.

Alongside the exhibition segment, the event features various conferences, business gatherings, and meetings between domestic and international companies. Additionally, a rich cultural program includes performances by musicians, art exhibitions, fashion shows, and tastings of traditional products such as wine, cheese, and prosciutto.
