Multiple fires reported in West Herzegovina Canton, more than 27,000 square meters burned in Grude

A fire was also reported in the village of Sovici, where an abandoned vineyard caught fire. The flames threatened residential buildings, but the prompt intervention of two firefighters and a local resident prevented the fire from spreading. About 2,500 square meters were burned.

According to a report from the FBiH Civil Protection Administration, two fires broke out in the village of Ruzici. The first lasted from 09:00 to 12:30, when two firefighters using two fire trucks extinguished a fire involving grass and low vegetation. The second lasted from 14:20 to 21:15, when three firefighters with two vehicles extinguished a fire that had spread across about 15,000 square meters.

In the Loncaci settlement in Grude, grass and low vegetation burned from 16:45 to 18:20. Three firefighters, two local residents and three fire trucks took part in the firefighting operation, with about 10,000 square meters burned.

In the Ljubuski area, firefighters responded in the village of Otok from 23:22 to 00:25, where grass and low vegetation were burning. Members of the Ljubuski Professional Fire Department and Volunteer Fire Department extinguished the fire, which burned about 1,000 square meters of land.
