In the Gradacac neighborhood of Pozarike, a tragic event unfolded on Saturday around 7:40 PM, leading to the discovery of a woman's lifeless body.
Local police were initially alerted to a disturbance involving loud shouting and noise in Pozarike. Shortly afterward, residents reported finding a woman's body near a local elementary school.
Police officers, along with a medical team from the Gradacac Health Center and criminal investigators, responded to the scene. The reports were confirmed, and the attending physician pronounced the woman dead.
The investigation, led by the on-duty prosecutor from the Tuzla Canton Prosecutor's Office, resulted in the arrest of M.S. (1991) from Zelinje, Gradacac, who is suspected to be connected to the incident. The victim was identified as H.H. (1950) from the same area.
Further details released by the Tuzla Canton Prosecutor's Office indicate that M.S., 33, is suspected of assaulting the elderly woman, H.H., with an iron rod and a concrete block, causing fatal head injuries.
The prosecutor has ordered an autopsy of the deceased's body and blood and urine tests for the suspect. Investigative actions are ongoing to clarify all circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following the criminal investigation, the suspect will be handed over to the prosecutor's office for further legal proceedings.
