N1 Bosnia and Herzegovina marks 11 years of credible journalism and public trust

“We mark N1’s eleventh anniversary at a challenging moment for the media industry and for our project. While circumstances and context have changed, the most important thing has not: the trust of the Bosnian public in N1, our societal influence, the results that place us among the most popular media, and our sense of responsibility towards our audience,” said N1 BiH News Director Amir Zukic.

N1 continues to report live from the scene of events, providing timely and credible coverage, serving as the first source of information for audiences across the country.

“The impressive viewership of N1 Television, the massive reach of the n1info.ba portal, and millions of video views on N1’s social media platforms oblige us to continue in the style we have nurtured for over a decade: credible, truthful, brave, and timely, always live from where the story happens. The recent scenes of natural disasters, insecurity, divisions, and dangerous tensions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also of solidarity, humanity, and optimism that inspire hope for a better future, remind us of our mission. In all such defining moments, N1 has proven to be the first and most trusted source of information for the public in BiH,” Zukic noted.

The N1 BiH Director also reflected on the trust of the audience and the responsibility that comes with it.

“Fully aware that we face a struggle to preserve professional standards, grow, and adapt to the needs of the digital age, we remain determined to persevere. N1 is not just a media outlet; it is a community of people who believe in truth, facts, dialogue, and freedom. In a time of public discourse degradation, growing intolerance, superficial content, and fake news, we believe that preserving N1 as a space of credibility, verified information, and professional accountability is more important than ever,” he said.

Public trust in N1 and its position as the country’s most-watched media outlet demonstrate that truthful, objective, and relevant journalism still has both an audience and power. “People know that our studio is an arena of diverse opinions and that our reporters are always where the news happens. We have been and will remain the voice that asks questions and seeks answers, and we are grateful to our audience for choosing us to be their voice,” N1 BiH Director Amir Zukic concluded.
