N1 confirms: Darko Culum returns as SIPA director after withdrawing resignation

Darko Culum confirmed for N1 that he returned to his position as director of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), nearly three months after submitting his resignation.

"I don't have much time, I'm in a meeting. I can only say that I have withdrawn my resignation," Culum told N1.
Culum initially resigned earlier this year and was expected to assume an advisory role in the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska (RS) entity, working directly with RS Police Director Sinisa Kostresevic.
His resignation came during a politically charged period, following calls by RS President Milorad Dodik for all Serbs to withdraw from SIPA in response to a court ruling. The National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NSRS) subsequently passed a controversial law banning SIPA’s operations on RS territory.

That law was later temporarily suspended by the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Despite Culum's resignation, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina had refused to formally accept it for several months, effectively leaving the door open for his return.
