The United Group's United Media announced on Sunday evening it would launch N1's website in Slovenia on Wednesday.

The investment is worth 1.3 million euros, according to the Slovenian state news agency STA.

The website will be managed by the newly established Adria News company led by Kath Seruga, the website’s editor-in-chief.

“The website at the n1info.si address will develop as a professional, independent and responsible media outlet, as are all other N1 portals,” the Group said in a statement.

The United Media CEO Aleksandra Subotic said N1 was an example of gaining credibility with accurate and objective information without sensationalism and a tabloid approach.

“We’re convinced that our crew in Slovenia will soon earn people’s trust and become their main source of information,” she added.

N1 became operational in Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2014, with the headquarters in Luxembourg, production centres and the editorial teams in every country where N1 operates.

N1 is an exclusive CNN partner in this part of Europe. It has a partnership contract with CNN enabling the exchange of articles, interviews, documentaries, photos and other content.

“CNN journalists report exclusively to N1 in the region. The cooperation is mutual, meaning CNN also carries N1 content. CNN does not influence N1 editorial policy,“ the Group’s statement said.

Every website works independently and creates the content for its market, attracting between 1.2 and 2.2 million users a month each.

Sport Klub channel and the Cas Media marketing agency also operate within the United Media in Slovenia.

The company’s portfolio includes 50 cable TV programmes, five national TV channels, 27 websites, five radio stations and seven print media, the company said.
