Nearly 90,000 Tourists visited FBiH in November, up significantly from 2023

According to data published by the Federal Bureau of Statistics, 89,295 tourists visited the Federation (FBiH) entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina in November 2024, which is 21.8% more compared to November of the previous year but 34.1% fewer compared to October 2024. Domestic tourists accounted for 34.1% of the total arrivals in November, while foreign tourists made up 65.9%.

The total number of overnight stays by tourists in November 2024 was 165,007, an increase of 23.9% compared to November 2023, but 33.6% fewer compared to October 2024. Domestic tourists accounted for 31.9% of the total overnight stays, while foreign tourists accounted for 68.1%.

By type of accommodation, the majority of overnight stays were recorded in hotels and similar accommodation, accounting for 96.7% of the total.

In the structure of foreign tourist overnight stays, the highest numbers in November were recorded by tourists from Croatia (18.6%), Turkey (14%), Serbia (7.5%), China (5.5%), and the USA (3.9%), totaling 49.5%. Tourists from other countries accounted for 50.5% of overnight stays.

The number of available beds in November 2024 in FBiH was 29,246, an increase of 5.1% compared to November 2023. The net occupancy rate of beds for hotels and similar accommodation in the Federation of BiH was 20.9%.
